I adore the entire CD. I love her style of singing. I love Colbie Caillat. I'm going to do a search on "Google" to find out more about this fantastic artist. You go GIRL. I heard one song on this CD on the radio and I had to find out who the artist was. I had never heard of her.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CD.IT HAS A VERY BEACHY RELAXED SOUND TO IT.JUST LISTENING TO IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD.CANT WAIT FOR A SECOND CD FROM THIS ARTIST.
Wonderful album. Great album.great to listen to when you need to relax while at the same time being very enjoyable, hard to choose a favorite song, but its going to have to be Tailor Made.
I sent this to my sister as her birthday gift she loved it and her and her children enjoy Colbie's music together as a family cd it arrived on her birthday it was great timming
I really like "Midnight Bottle;" and listen for "Battle." "Battle" has excellent keyboard work and the lush musical arrangement is perfect without ever drowning out Colbie's vocals-she's right there in the spotlight. The quality of the sound is excellent and that artwork is beautifully done."Oxygen" starts the CD with a reflective ballad; and Colbie sings this like the pro she truly is. Colbie sings this with her heart on her sleeve and I could never tire of hearing Colbie sing "Bubbly.""Midnight Bottle," a song about someone trying to make themselves feel better by having a drink or two, has some interesting subtle tempo changes but Colbie never falters; she handles this brilliantly. Colbie has what it takes to be quite well respected and that's grand.
It's even quite catchy and "Oxygen" makes an auspicious start to this song set. Colbie Caillat's talents as a songwriter, an acoustic guitar player and especially as a chanteuse are amply displayed on this album. It's a great find for Colbie's fans--she's going to be a force to be reckoned with if she isn't there already. People who enjoy adult contemporary music in general will also want this CD. Coco by Colbie Caillat shows off her talents very nicely. Colbie sings very well and she plays acoustic guitar wonderfully. "The Little Things" continues the somewhat laid-back flavor that "Oxygen" has; "The Little Things" has great percussion and I really like the way Colbie sings this with all her heart and soul. The percussion helps the melody along and that guitar work is simply wonderful.
"Bubbly" stuns me with its beauty and it proves that Colbie Caillat is truly a force to be reckoned with. "Battle" is a poignant song about getting out of a bad relationship; and it packs quite a punch."Magic" has a somewhat laid-back, soulful flavor; and Colbie handles this well. I highly recommend this album. "Tied Down" has a great musical arrangement that sounds something like reggae mixed with modern R&B/soul for a great effect; and the album closes with Colbie Caillat performing "Capri." "Capri" is a tender ballad that Colbie performs with great sensitivity; and I'm very impressed. The backup vocals enhance the ballad even further; I like the way they harmonize faultlessly. "Magic" is a tender love song that showcases Colbie's talents and it's another major highlight of this CD.
In addition, her songwriting skills enhance the numbers we get on this CD which is also her first full length album. "Midnight Bottle" features Colbie Caillat squarely front and center--right where she belongs. I love it."Bubbly" got airplay and this tune deserves every bit of the recognition it got at least in my regional radio stations. "Oxygen" has a great melody; it's very pretty and memorable at once. In addition, ""One Fine Wire" uses clever key modulations to make this a terrific track; Colbie sings this one up right and "One Fine Wire" is clearly a major highlight of this album.
